Best Restaurants in Clarksville, TN - My Top 5
If you’ve lived in Clarksville for awhile then you know that things have changed a lot. There are tons of new people, businesses, and things to do. One of my favorite things about all of the growth here is the many, new local restaurants and coffee shops that have opened. As the food spots around town continue to grow the community is provided with more places to gather, connect, and fill their hearts and bellies.
In my quest to “Clarksville” more, I’ve made it a point to shop and support local whenever I can. Continue reading to learn about 5 of my absolute favorite places to eat and drink in Clarksville, TN.
Yada
Yada is one of my absolute favorite places downtown. The aesthetics are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the menu is great. With the tagline “Eat. Drink. Gather” they truly create a welcoming space for you to do all 3. I have yet to make my way to their breakfast, but their lunch and dinner tapas are divine. I will die on the hill screaming that Yada has some of the best-seasoned food in Clarksville. No ONE is seeing those brussels sprouts. Though the prices may be a little high compared to other restaurants in the city, the food and experience are more than worth it. If you’re lucky Darla might even come by and tell you a hilarious story.
Tater Headz
So let’s start at the fact that there’s no way a potato should be this loaded and this good. Before I could even eat it, I just sat there and looked at it for like 5 minutes. I mean look at this beauty!!!
The Tater Headz menu in general is a fat kid’s DREAM. They have so many amazing combinations of potatoes, mac & cheese, and sandwhich which makes it really hard to choose just one. This fat kid here went with the Honey Gold Chicken Tater. YES, you read that right, HONEY GOLD!!!
BAY BYYYY!!! Every single bite wa layerd with flavor and sent my eyeballs to the back of the socket. My tastebuds truly didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t finish it all in one sitting, but it came back to life perfectly the next day in the air fryer.
Johnny’s Big burger
Johnny’s claims to have been making the best made to order burger and fries for more than 5 decades and I agree. This is a tricky pick me for me. I always forget that it’s here, but when I go my taste buds fall completely in love. The burger really just has it all - simple, juicy, made to order, and well seasoned. The fries aren’t anything special, however, they’re ALWAYS fresh and I appreciate that.
Johnny’s is definitely a local staple and has staid true to its restaurant roots. There aren’t many places that you can walk in and dine at the bar and even fewer places that are cash only. To some this may be a downside, but to me it adds to the character and uniqueness of the experience.
Momo’s Korean BBQ
I’ve been eating at Momo’s since I was in high school. There have been quite a few different Korean restaurants that have opened up in town, however, when you’re a legend there really isn’t any competition.
What I love about Momo’s is the simplicity and the consistency. It tastes the same today as it did in 2008. It’s delicious. It taste like Korean I’ve had at people’s house.
I’ll be completely honest it’s not my favorite yaki mandu and sometimes the customer service is lacking, but other than that everything else is DELICIOUS!! I would pick this Korean restaurant over any other in town no question.
Legends BBQ
I’m always super skeptical about bbq restaurants. There are so many different styles of sauce, seasoning, and ways to cook that I hardly ever want to chance it. I was super skeptical so I played it safe with loaded fries, BUT my family understood the assignment so I got to try a little sample of everything. All I will say is that PLATES WERE CLEARED. Seriously, not a scrap of food was thrown away. We all left full and completely satisfied. I’m addition to the great food the restaurant itself was immaculate. They had a big rush prior to us coming but you could not tell at all. Our food was delivered quickly and the service was excellent
